Today on “Behold The Man” I talk about a recent article I wrote about Praying Boldly  & asking God for a sign to shore up my faith.  God has given us his only Son, His Church, His Sacraments, His Mother, our brothers and sisters (the Saints), but, he wants to give us something more…. an experiences of Him as “My Father” not just “Our Father”.  Yes, it’s better to not have seen & believe however, God is ready to give you what he gave St. Thomas… a little something extra!

Today, we go through Saint Luke’s narrative of the Nativity story.  Like the shepherds in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks, we should keep watch over our souls and be ready for the Christ child wrapped in swaddling clothes.  We also show how the birth, and offering of our Lord in the Temple, is a fulfillment of the prophesy of Danial 9:20-28.

Navarre Commentary on Daniel 9:20-28: “Seventy times seven or seventy weeks symbolizes total and definitive completion – when evil and sin will disappear, divine justice will take over, all the prophecies will come true, and the temple will be consecrated definitively.”
